About This Bursary
The SAICA Thuthuka Bursary Fund is dedicated to transforming the Chartered Accountancy profession in South Africa by providing comprehensive support to talented African, Coloured, and Indian students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This fully funded bursary covers all aspects of their university education towards a CA(SA) qualification, including tuition, accommodation, books, and a living allowance. The program also provides extensive non-financial support, such as academic mentoring, life skills training, and career guidance, ensuring high pass rates and successful entry into the profession.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be African, Coloured, or Indian.
- Must demonstrate significant financial need (e.g., household income below a certain threshold).
- Excellent academic record: Minimum Level 5 (60-69%) in Mathematics and English in Grade 12.
- Must be studying or intending to study a SAICA-accredited BCom Accounting degree at a Thuthuka-partnering university.
